Rogue Valley Science Network

WELCOME

Founded in August of 2004, The Rogue Valley Science Network came about as so many good ideas do – over coffee (or in our case, hot chocolate).
Recognizing that there exists an abundance of interdisciplinary scientific talents in Southern Oregon and Northern California, a small group of local scientists thought to create a network that would identify and connect these individuals and provide a platform by which they could interact.

Some are retired, some working in their respective fields, while others, even though jobs for them do not exist in the region, are here just because they love it so.

We come together as a group primarily for several purposes:

Social: to gather over refreshments for social discourse.

Academic: to discuss papers, research opportunities, ask questions, get answers and to learn from each other.

RVSN gathers to discuss science issues of the day.

Professional: to find employment opportunities, employees or to start up new business ventures.

We welcome scientists, engineers and educators of all ages and disciplines to join us for learning opportunities. Our meetings are open to the general public to participate and to learn.
